HOLA! Finally a post from me and my lover….

Ryan finally got here on the 24th! We spent some time in San Sebastian, so I could show him around.. but unfortunately the weather wasnt the best. a little rain, some winds.. but it was still a good time! I look forward to going back, and showing him the good sunny side of San Saby..

We left for Paris the night of the 30th, spent the 31st in Paris (reunited with Sabrina for a final goodbye!! ), and then hopping on a plane the morning of the 1st (June) to Athens, Greece. Greece was beautiful-check out the pics.

We took a ferry to Santorini.. but of course a day late cuz we had to camp outside a store and wait to pick up his wallet (my bad) But luckily.. we got everything back and had a great time on the islands of Santorini. Black sand beaches, massages, and cocktails… couldnt ask for more!! It rained there also unfortunately, but we still saw some great stuff. On the 6th we headed to Rome.. where we started our Italy adventures.

Rome for a few days, then off to Florence. Florence didnt have much to offer in our opinions, and after seeing the David statue, we left for Cinque Terra. AMAZING. Cinque Terra.. or “5 Terra” is 5 little towns all connected with a train, or a path to hike. We hiked between all 5 towns, and 5 hours later arrived at the last one. It was along the cliffs of the beaches, and beautiful. After a few days, we went to Venice for a day, before arriving in Germany! Munich was our first stop, and we loved it! Beer gardens and liters of beers!!! Also some huuuuuge pretzels. Beautiful city…. but then off to Prague, (CZECH it out!!) Beautiful city also… the people, eh.. Ive met some nicer ones. I got to see my friend Caitlin! so that was great…

That brings us to Berlin, Germany… our current location. Again—unfortunately– it rained pretty hard today. but we still got time to walk around, and see some cool stuff… look for the pictures and we will update later..

I loved Portugal.. I pictured paradise, and it was just that!! Lisbon (the capital) wasnt as much of the tropical paradise, but still really pretty. We werent in the town for very long, we arrived in the morning after a 14 hr train ride…luckily it was through the night so we spent a lot of it sleeping. On saturday night (4/28) we took a bus to southern portugal…to a beautiful town called Lagos. It was amazing, the weather, the beaches, the water, everything. We ate good food, met fun people, went to some fun bars, and definitely got tan laying on the beaches! Monday we went kayaking through the Grottos. The grottos are these tall rock type things.. I dunno but the pictures show the beauuuty of it! After some much needed relaxing and stuff… we got a plane back to madrid, and took the dreaded 6 1/2 hr bus ride back to San sabby. Unfortunately we returned to not so great weather.. but a short week of school!!!

Next week is my final week, Even though I have lots of projects and papers to write I am so excited for it to all be over!!! and Lets all hope that the San Sabby weather gets better!!

Love and miss everyone!!

So finally, I am getting around to writing a little something about my spring break. I should however be attempting to write my 10 page paper that is due next week.. but thats the last thing I really want to be doing now. I just got all the pictures uploaded, and of course even with the group of spring break pictures being around 140.. thats not even half of all of them! But I put the general good ones up

My spring break started with Krystal getting here on April 1. It was soo exciting finally seeing a familiar face!! We did hair all day and just chatted and caught up, finishing the night at Obrien’s of course, showing her my favorite place and using the internet a bit.

The next day we just tripped around San Sebastian for a bit, did a little shopping, some eating with Mertxe, and hanging out with Sabrina. Sabrina made us a wonderful dinner before we had to rush and catch the night bus to Barcelona. We got to Barcelona on the 3rd and had a few hours to look around the city. We had a close call when we almost missed the bus ride to the airport! But we made it.. and took the plane to Venice.

Venice was gorgeous! Despite having annoying problems with my ATM card, the city was just what was expected. No cars, motos, nothing.. only walking along the coblestone alleys, and of course a gondola ride thru the rivers, but we didnt do that this time. We ate some pretty good food, and met some awesome people that showed us how to cook a “real” Italian dish. We were in the back of a restaurant cooking all kinds of good stuff!! We saw some cool sites like Saint Mark’s Basilica and some other awesome churches with cool architecture. I fed some pigeons too!

The next stop was Rome.. and although a little disappointing… definitely had some amazing sites to see. It was disappointing in how dirty the outsides of the town was, but Ancient Rome, and the downtown section was so cool! We saw all kinds of cool Ancient sites.. the Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Ruins, The Vatican…. all of which you can see throughout my pictures!! We went out one night, and danced and had a good time… and definitely quotes ron burgandy hundreds of times… “WHEN IN ROME……”

After Rome, we went to Paris.. where I was finally reunited with mi madre!!! I was sooo excited to finally see that woman! All of us were pretty tired from all the traveling, and we just found a place to eat and walked around near our hotel in Paris. The next day was when we set out for the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, The Louvre Museum, and some of the other monuments of Paris. The city was a little disappointing also… just being very expensive and coming across some rude people. That however, did make me have a bad time… it was interesting to see all the sites, shop, eat, and just hang with my mother and krystal. The Eiffel Tower at night was gorgeous…. lots of cool lights. Didnt get a chance to go to the top of the Tower, but I hope to do that when Ryan and I go back!!

The last stop before returning to San Sabbbby was London. Unfortunately.. our flight screwed us over and changed the outgoing flight to early early morning, so we only had literally 8 or so hrs so see all of what London had to offer. It was waaay expensive because of the conversion of the pound, so we didnt pay to go into to many of the attractions. We just admired the beauty from the outside. We went to the Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Tower of London and Bridge of London, and some other stuff… which of course you should look at through my pictures!

It was nice to finally return home to San Sebastian and see Mertxe and really show my mom and Krystal the town. I wish the weather could have been a little better for them… but I still think we had a good time. My mom and Mertxe hit it off very well.. and Im soooo happy that they got a chance to meet. We walked around alot, and shopped, ate.. etc… Krystal left early sunday, and didnt get a chance to hike with us to Monte Urgull… but mertxe, my mom, and I took a nice hike and saw the beautiful views. My mom and I.. with Caitlin, made Mertxe some stuffed bell peppers.. which turned out good. I ditched school on Monday- and hung out a little bit more with my mom before I had to send her off on the train for Paris that night, so she could catch her Tuesday flight. I was sad to see her go, and worried that she wouldnt make it! But of course she did!!!!

Now– next on the list is posting my pictures and good times in Portugal!! Last weekend was a holiday here, so we had 2 days off from school. My girlfriends here and I went to Portugal for one last trip together before we all had to leave. Its soooo odd how fast the time actually flew! I see my lover in 3 weeks.. and my friends in 2!! I am so exciiiiiiited!!

Look back soon for the pictures of the spring break to post.. and the new stuff with Portugal!

This past weekend… Thurs-Sunday (March 15-18) I was in Dublin, Ireland for St Patricks day!!! I have to say that it was on of the BEST experiences of this trip.. and of my life! I had an amazing time, and met so many cool people. I met tons of people from just about every European country, and even people from Southern California! I actually had an amazing “it’s a small world” experience when I first got to Dublin and was waiting for the bus stop. I happened to overhear the people behind me talking about San Diego, and it was a close family friend of my dear friend Emili!!! I had met this friend of hers at her party in September, and we talked forever because he is studying in Barcelona right now. So… What are the chances of running into him at the bus stop in Dublin??? I was shocked for a while about that, and thought it was awesome.

But, we flew into Dublin in the later afternoon of Thursday, and stopped for our first pint of Guinness at the first cool pub we saw. Me and Caitlin had an “irish car bomb” only in Ireland baby!!! We checked into our hotel and then just went to some local bars and pubs. Our hotel actually had a huge bar in it, that turned into this big nightclub at night. It was perfect because we didn’t have to wait in the huge line outside, and got to use the clean bathrooms in our rooms!! Everynight we would end up there, if we didn’t hang out there for the majority. The bartender was so nice, and loved Caitlin ☺ Friday we woke up and had amazing full egg/bacon/bean/toast breakfast made at the hotel, delicious. And then we walked around the streets of Ireland, saw the outside of the Castle and Cathedral, and made our way to the Guinness Factory. Of course, my camera battery dies on the way!

The Guinness tour was awesome also! The line was outrageous, but we met some cool friends that were in line behind us, studying in Barcelona also. Caitlin and I were in the factory for hours, reading and touring, and drinking Guinness. The top of the 6 floor factory had a bar with just one huge window, so the view was the entire town of Dublin. We got a free pint at the top, and this is where we met a ton of people from all over the world. Everyone was so friendly and so interested in talking and meeting new people. It was a nice change from the closed off , rude people of San Sebastian. ☺

Saturday was sooooo fun. St Pattys Day!! Me and Caitlin watched the parade from Dame St.. and there were just thousands of people everywhere. We didn’t have the best view, but to be completely honest the parade wasn’t as crazy, or fun as I imagined. It was a little slow… but still wouldn’t have passed up the experience for anything else! Then we went to Temple Bar, which is an area in Dublin just filled with pubs, shops, and restaurants. We pub hopped all day, and definitely went into “the Temple Bar” which was ridiculously crowded, but fun nonetheless. Tons of awesome people were here too. Well we didn’t have a hotel room for Saturday night, because our flight left so early on Sunday, so we just hung out, ate, talked to people, and then ended up at the hotel we stayed at the nights before to get our luggage and hang out 1 last time! 4am, we were off to the airport, and then returned back to the intense weather of San Sebastian!

The past few days have been like 100-120 km/h winds!! I think that’s around 60-80 mph?? But I am not totally sure. The rain is on and off, sometimes pouring. I hope that it stops very very very soon though! Spring break is less than 2 weeks away! Ahhh I am so excited! Tomorrow is my final for my 2nd class of track 3, which means I am starting advanced Spanish next week! Scarrry but I am excited, because my Spanish keeps getting better and better!

Miss and Love everyone, and thanks for still reading about my adventures, only 2 more months until my amazing Ryan gets here, and that means a little over 3 months and Ill be home to see everyone and tell these stories in person. ☺

This weekend the weather in San Sabbbby has been amazing!!! Saturday we ended to the beach a little later in the afternoon, and got comparos amazing sandwiches and french fries and some heiny in a can and hung out all afternoon! The sun was shinning and it was so gorgeous! Brett brought his guitar and a ton of the kids in our program were just hanging out and having fun. Of course… I forget my camera! Oh well next time!! Then last night (saturday) me sabrina caitlin and dana made an aammazzing mexican food feast! ate till we couldnt anymore, and it was like heaven…

Today the weather was even better! Warmer, and sunnier! So after a morning bike ride.. and quick internet cafe stop… the huge group was down on the beach again. OH.. and this weekend was a No boot weekend! Its tooo hard to carry it, strap it on/off and blah blah on the beach.. the pain is there, not tooo horrible… but bearable. I know its probably not the best for me, but hey sometimes gotta make sacrifices right I forgot my camera though of course… and didnt take any pictures. But all of our friends we laying out and soaking it in. We left around 530pm.. and within the hour a huge storm wind hit. ha its insane how much the weather changes….

Its almost spring break!!! I have like 3 more weekends until spring break… 1 being Ireland!! and another one being a 3 day weekend. Time is flying and its awesome and kinda upsetting at the same time! I am so excited to see my friends/Family.. and soo excited for Ryan to get here already!! But I know when the time comes to leave, I wont want to.. or be ready to

Buuut thats my updates for now.. hopefully the rain wont last long.. and next weekend will be just as beautiful … then Ill bring my camera and share the experience.. visually

Talk to everyone soon. Love you!

Think fluorescent yellow, pink, and purple. I feel that it is majorly helping with my foot.. because its not as much pressure as walking. I love it. HOWEVER… last night, I totally had an intense fall, and am feeling the pain today. It was raining, and Caitlin and I were riding home from the Cafe…. hit the curb wrong and went flyying!! Embarasssssing! Stupid Aiesha!!! But its okay…. Ill put pictures of her too!!! I had a photo shoot by the beach when it was so warm in San Sebastian.

Its been pretty sunny here, although with the breeze its pretty cold. And then sometimes out of no where it will start raining. Its pretty weird weather.. but hopefully soon it will be time to sit on the beach! (probably not to soon though…)

It always takes me so long to post all my pictures, and write about the adventures that I take when I travel, but better late than never! The weekend before last… Feb 16-20, my girlfriends and I went on another adventure. This time.. it was to celebrate el Carnaval!! which is a celebration for Lent, and Easter.. and kinda similar to what we have in the good ol U. S. of A. But here in Spain, they go allll out!! Tuesday, is when “Lent” starts, and so the weekend is the last time for everyone to indulge and celebrate. Everyone dresses up in Costumes, masks, wigs…. and dance, sing, and parade in the streets. I read that Cadiz was one of the towns that celebrated the biggest!! Cadiz is a city in the very south of Spain, more on the west of the Country. We had a four day weekend, so we also wanted to see some other places, and decided on first flying into Malaga… which is also south, but more on the east side. We bused it all night friday (12am-7ish) to Madrid, to barely making our flight to Malaga at 8amish…. it was crazy running through the airport, but an experience that made the ending that much more interesting We spent all day of the 17th, the night, and half of the 18th in Malaga. The weather was sooo amazing!! It was sunny and pretty warm when we got there… warm enough to wear my bathing suit top on the beaches! You can see yourself how beautiful it was from the millions of pictures that I took…. I think I was obsessed with the beach when we first got there. Malaga was alot more mellow than Cadiz, only small celebrations at night, and very calm in the day. Saturday night was my first night without my boot!!!! NO BOTA! haha It was pretty exciting, since Ive had to wear this stupid thing for a lot longer than I expected or wanted…. A little painful, and I still wear it everyday but hey, I thought…. special occasion, I wanna indulge!! On Sunday, we took another bus ride to Cadiz, and it rode all along the coast, and was also a beautiful day! Arrived the early evening, and after finding and settling into our hotel rooms, we went down to the beach and to find some food. The beach wasnt as pretty as Malaga… and neither are as gorgeous as San Sebastian…. but still nice! Monday the 19th… we took a fairy to the actual town of Cadiz… because we stayed about 15minutes outside, due to every other hotel being booked!! and toured the city. It was a little overcast…. which sucked because it was a rare occasion that it wasnt sunny! Of all the times for it to be overcast?!?! Oh well…..then the last of our adventures for the day was a bus tour of the city! Christi and Julie talked a bus driver into taking us on a 30min tour.. on one of those double decker buses. So we had the whole top to ourselves, and we just rode around and took pictures and saw the beautiful city. The people in the town loved it… and waved and were yelling hello at us and were so excited. The people in the south of Spain definitely seem to be a lot sweeter and more pleasant to be around. People here are a little harsh, but oh well. The nights were pretty crazy, but we saw the most action on that monday the 19th. The town had hundreds and hundreds of people in the center… all kinds of shops and kiosks open, and many people in costumes parading around and singing.. pictures should be up, if not now.. very soon Unfortunately, we missed our bus to get back to Malaga from Cadiz on tuesday… and had to take a 3 hr taxi ride. But hey.. again just made the experience that much more exciting and adventures to talk about. The cab driver eventually had to tell Caitlin, Sabrina, and I to stop talking and laughing so hard because his head hurt.. hahahahha. poor taxi driver. But we made it safe and sound to Malaga… and made our flight to Madrid!!! We had to spend a lot of time waiting at the bus station and airport… and finally after another midnight bus ride returned in time for a nap, and school on Wednesday!!

It was another great trip… so minor mishaps.. but as my good friend Sabrina says… “What are you going do? we can we do?” haha Just gotta keep on keepin on

I am taking it easy, and now going to enjoy the town I live in, until my next adventure of Ireland for St. Patricks day!! Me and Caitlin are going, with some other friends from school… and hope to have the time of our lives!

Enjoy the gorgeous pictures of Malaga and Cadiz, and will talk to everyone soon!

loveeeeees!
